About me
Kimberly (Avery) Moyers, a cosmetology educator, has worked in the hair industry for several major companies, like Matrix, Aquage, CHI, and Tammy Taylor Nails. She has been in the industry for 35 years as a salon
owner/stylist, a high school teacher, community college professor, and cosmetology program developer and founder. Kimberly is very passionate about training educators, professionals, and future professionals. She has developed fundamental to advanced curricula in coloring and cutting. She has also perfected the state board testing prep to take students well above the state average passing rates and scores. Kimberly has been a subject matter expert for the State, 2022 Milady Cosmetology textbook
and the 2022 Professional Educator textbooks. Professional achievements include 2018 NISOD teaching award, SkillsUSA 1st place state winners in Cosmetology Competition 3 years and 1st place in Skincare Competition 1 year in the collegiate level and participated in SkillsUSA National competitions. Kimberly Moyers holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Education. She is currently Cosmetology Program Director for Lamar State College-Orange and Founding teacher at Montgomery ISD Cosmetology Academy.
